“This is a Canadian band from Toronto who channel a pure Southern Rock sound that could be a time machine from the 70s.”
– Vanguard Online

“The Commoners find common ground in the classic rock of Free and Led Zeppelin, and the Southern flavorings of Black Crowes and Blackberry Smoke, by combining tasty riffs and soul-tinged vocals.”
– R’N’R Magazine

“This is the kind of show that Saturday nights were made for. Rock ‘n’ roll, good
company, and the energy to give you memories for a lifetime.”
-Mick Birchall

“Restless offers a dynamic spectrum of soundscapes, seamlessly weaving introspective slower-tempo ballads and rip-roaring anthems.”
-Blues Matters Magazine

The Commoners released their first official studio album, Find A Better Way, in the fall of 2022. Following the album’s release, the band toured extensively across Canada, Europe, and the UK, cementing their place in the roots rock music scene. The group found notable success on UK radio with the singles “Fill My Cup,” “Too Much,” and the title track, “Find A Better Way.”

Find A Better Way is The Commoners’ first official studio album, featuring 9 tracks recorded in their hometown of Toronto, Canada. It introduced the group’s soulful roots rock and roll sound – apparent on songs like “Fill My Cup”, “Too Much”, and “Find A Better Way”. It also showed the range of the group with country-leaning ballads “Naturally”,  I Won’t” and “Hangin’ On Again”.

“Country rock, a dollop of blues and soul, roots, and rock… The Commoners’ Find A Better Way takes you up and down, and the ride is fabulous.”
–Powerplay Magazine, 9/10

“There’s light and shade, melodic rockers and country-tinged ballads, quality songs delivered with passionate energy. This is an album that gets better with each repeated listen.”

A natural evolution from Find A Better Way, Restless offers a peek behind the curtain of success, revealing the grueling routines and ragged emotions that hide behind the glamorous aesthetic of a rock band on the rise. With introspective, slower-tempo numbers pocketed amongst rip-roaring anthems, the new album, recorded at RHC Music in Toronto, is a portrait of a hardworking group revitalizing a classic genre.
