More Than Mistakes – The Commoners – New Single / Video Out Now

More Than Mistakes - The Commoners - Single Artwork

The Commoners are excited to announce a new single and music video – stream and watch More Than Mistakes on all music platforms.

“More Than Mistakes is a song written in self-defiance,” says Commoners’ lead singer, Chris Medhurst. “It’s about taking on one’s own weakness with a sense of forgiveness for past transgressions, while enthusiastically searching for the limit.”

The Commoners would like to thank everyone who took the time to listen to / comment on the new tune and video.

“More Than Mistakes” uses a slamming beat and big vocals to channel the glory days of 70s rock. It’s the kind of track that gets people up and involved immediately while it delivers a message of empowerment and strength that many of us could use right now. Vocalist Chris Medhurst sings with the spirit of a true rocker and the soul of a Motown great. Lead guitarist Ross Hayes Citrullo bosses up on every note he plays. The song’s music video is super fun and fits the tone of the band perfectly. This bunch has dedicated themselves to making real rock and roll with a modern vibe. Crank this one up and save your own soul!

Rock and Blues Muse

On the punchy and rollicking “More Than Mistakes”, the rock train rolls on full steam ahead.  Bright tambourine accents a rhythm section to rival Motown, illuminating a track that instantly pushes listeners to the edge of their seats, raising them to their feet. Alive and free, “More Than Mistakes” affirms the album’s theme of self-empowerment with gusto.

Brave Worlds

The new single “More Than Mistakes” (music video shared below) is a battering, crunchily rugged, smudgily gritty, riff-based rock-stomper with sufficient blotch and jangle to lift it above the mediocre country-rock promises delivered by other acts, and instead offers something of exceptionality, effectiveness, and craftsmanship. In this regard, The Commoners can be favorably compared  to the New Riders or even CCR, at their best.
